As we did in our post ‘Where to sell in Barcelona’, we continue with our series of “Where to sell” articles in the more prominent cities of Europe. Today introducing, Madrid.
Today we will show you the streets with a greater commercial flow in Madrid. The commercial landscape conveys the personality of the cosmopolitan city, the ultimate reference for cultural and entertainment activities in Europe.
At Go–PopUp we have locations where you can establish your ephemeral shop without having to make a big investment. Showcase your brand in top reference commercial areas!
Chueca y Fuencarral
Cutting-edge fashion and new designers make the surroundings of Fuencarral one of the most daring shopping areas in Madrid.
If there is an adjective that defines this central commercial axis is the avant-garde. Young and modern fashion brands and some of the most relevant and prominent new designers are found on the streets of Chueca and Fuencarral. The neighbourhood has opened to all kinds of proposals to become one of the most visited areas, both by Madrid residents and by tourists.
Gran Vía
The Gran Vía de Madrid is one of the main urban areas of the city by the incessant racking of people that runs along its more than 1,300 meters in length.
Gran Vía is divided into three sections: the one that extends from Alcalá Street to the San Luis Network, which continues from there to Callao Square and, finally, the last segment that ends at Plaza de España. Popular fashion firms, prestigious jewellers, and new technology brands showcase their products in a runway of spectacular display windows.
Barrio de Salamanca
Designers and big fashion companies made their way to Serrano street, known as the “Golden Mile” of Madrid or the “Silver Mile”. It is not hard to guess why Serrano is called that way: within a square kilometre, you have at the hold of your fingertips all the biggest fashion, decoration and jewellery firms. Besides gold and silver, that mile has many other gemstones that will dazzle you behind the display windows.
This neighbourhood is enhanced with glitter and glamour at every single step. It is the most exclusive shopping area in the city, due to the high concentration of luxury firms it holds.
A great fashion catwalk. So are the streets of Serrano, Jose Ortega, Gasset and Claudio Coello. If you are looking to shine and your brand sells distinction and exclusivity, this is the perfect neighbourhood to place your pop-up.
Sol-Preciados
Outdoor shopping is a favourite for some and Kilometer 0, near Puerta del Sol, makes this possible every single day of the year in Madrid.
The streets of Preciados, Carmen and Arenal are one of the most important outdoor shopping centres in the city. From fashion to books and music store chains, a complete offer for different tastes and interests is concentrated in this busy area.
If something defines the commercial area of Preciados is the incessant coming and going of people through its streets. Both Preciados and Carmen and Arenal streets are pedestrian paths, which is why this axis is a great option for walking while shopping in this large ‘open’ shopping centre.
Malasaña
In addition to being considered one of the liveliest areas of Madrid during the weekends, this is a commercial axis that stands out for its retro style, vintage, and state-of-the-art design.
The area has a great commercial activity that focuses especially on a young and “alternative” audience. Here you can find ‘retro style’ shops that sell all kinds of items from the past decades. Malasaña was the epicentre of the famous counter-cultural movement of the 80’s, so-called “Movida Madrileña” explosion. You can still experience the true style ‘Movida” feeling in the area!
