Pop Up at BIKINI BERLIN
In April 2014 BIKINI BERLIN will open its doors. It will be more than just another shopping destination. According to Andreas Murkudis, shop owner, it is a city within the city. You can go to the movies, stay overnight, eat, work, shop or just sit on the terrace and enjoy the day. Instead of the well-known “anchor tenants” such as large fashion chains, BIKINI BERLIN will focus on exclusive brands. With this it takes advantage of the fact that Berlin still offers room for smaller brands to develop. Located in the heart of Berlin City West, between Zoo, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and Breitscheidplatz it connects to important historic sites of the city and reveals them in a new light.
To overcome the ordinary BIKINI BERLIN hosts the BIKINI BERLIN BOXES, which are Pop-Up stores. Here tenants get the opportunity to present ideas and products and to test their concepts on a temporary basis. The flexible modular systems made of wood, which can be decorated individually, adapt to virtually any product. A colorful mix of shops and event spaces will be the result. Flexible rental periods help to keep the momentum. The BOXES are available for a minimum of three to a maximum of twelve months. In total 20 BOXES are located in the BIKINI BERLIN POOL, the center of the BIKINI house. A careful selection of the brands assures that the products vary from but also complement each other. Until now 13 tenants have already signed the short-term tenancy contract such as Mr & Miss Gugu Co., Drybar, Weimann, Breaz Berlin and More.
