‘Stranger Things’ themed Pop-Up bar
If you need something to hold you over until the Stranger Things season two release Oct. 27, start planning a weekend getaway to Chicago.
The Upside Down, a Chicago pop-up bar that’s inspired by the show, features everything from the classic wall of lights to drinks inspired by the show and its characters.
Located in Logan Square, “The Upside Down” is flooded with show references and themed cocktails, including a slushie drink with a waffle in it called “Eleven’s Eggo’s”. Other custom drinks on the menu include the “Demogorgun,” the “Snack Pack,” and “Coffee & Contemplation.”, among others.

About “The Upside Down,” Emporium wrote on Facebook: “This Stranger pop-up bar will be the end of Summer 80’s dance party of your dreams, filled with curious Things inspired by & paying homage to the instant-classic television show about the haunting happenings in Hawkins, Indiana & the brave kids of the Hawkins Middle School A.V. Club who saved their friend & their town from the devious deeds of the Hawkins National Laboratory & the subsequent devastation of the Demogorgon!”
The pop-up will be open Wednesdays through Friday (5 p.m. to 2 a.m.), Saturday (12 p.m. to 3 a.m.) and Sunday (12 p.m. 2 a.m.) through September.
